Here, I would like to showcase how Twitter has benefited my learning in this course. I have learned that Twitter is basically an RSS feed, and nothing else. Although it is useful through its use of hashtags to pool common themes, I feel that it is rather constraining. I understand that it could be useful because it forces users to be concise with their thoughts, it can be a constraint for people such as myself who want to say a paragraph, and not just a statement. It has helped me to learn to shrink down what I say, and only place the essence in tweets. I feel that it has been helpful in the end. I have utilized Twitter to contribute to communities of practice within the confines of my classroom, as well as beyond the classroom.
